Kilo means a thousand.

Kilowatts, kilometers, kiloroutes.

Kilo is the metric prefix for a thousand - a thousand routes through one platform. Kilowatts, kilometers, kiloroutes: the name says the job, which is moving a very large number of clicks to the right place, quickly and honestly.

Kilo was also the founder's dog - a dark shepherd mix with wolf ears, who was born on the founder's birthday and died on it the year before Kilo launched. That is the level of seriousness we bring to naming, and the level of loyalty the name has to live up to: once a Kilo link is out in the world - printed on a box, pasted in a bio, bought in a campaign - it keeps resolving somewhere sane. A paused link gets a branded page, never a dead end. Some things should keep working long after they leave your hands. The name is a daily reminder.

Honesty is built into how Kilo is run, not bolted on afterward: there's no growth team whose job is to expire your free tier, and the pricing page is held to the same standard as the product.

The house style, briefly: numbers over adjectives, no exclamation marks, and every claim on every page must be verifiable inside the product. Where the industry has a dark pattern - links that quietly die, "free" tiers designed to fail, dashboards that count machines as people - we name the practice and do the opposite.

For Kilo.

Kilo QR was formerly QR2R - same domain, same links, new name.
